Just bought my second car in two years a beautiful Mini cooper s convertible contacted Mark who sent me a video and loads of photos as I live in Belfast I had done the same back after a couple of days the deal was done although Mark was away I travelled over on the boat dealt with Simon who had all the paperwork done signed sealed and delivered in an hour and headed back home in my new car. I have to say I would highly recommend this car dealership to anyone looking a good deal as both Simon and Mark are very easy to deal with would definitely buy again all the best for the future

I would like to say a big thank you to the service team at Hope Scott. On Monday, 22 Jan 2024, I was travelling to Leeds through the challenges of Storm Isha. Unfortunately, my left wiper blade became a victim of the storm, fortunately it happened right outside the Hope Scott Garage in Currie. They ordered a replacement for me and within an hour I was on my way again. It still took a long time to get home but it would have been impossible. So again, a big thank you from a weary, windswept traveller.

I had been looking for a particular style of Mini Cooper and found one at Hope Scott via Autotrader. I called, but unfortunately it seemed I was too late, as there was an interested party expected within the hour. However, Simon took my number and promised to call me regardless of the outcome. Sure enough, he called back within a couple of hours - bad news the prospective buyer had made a finance application. So the search went on - until first thing Monday morning when Simon called just after 8am to say that sale hadn\'t gone through and to ask if I was still interested. I had a full internal and external video of the car sent via WhatsApp within an hour and I placed a deposit on the strength of that, awaiting my viewing in person. I was able to get to the garage the next morning and agreed the sale. 4 days later, on the day of collection, Simon picked me up at the train station (an offer to avoid having to drive 2 cars back home) and the deal was done. Simply put, this whole process and transaction was made easy - no hard sell, just helpful and friendly service. I\'d suggest the quality of the cars available here make selling them easy, but it\'s made even easier for the buyer by the friendly approach and customer service, unusual these days when buying a car (at least in my experience). What amazing service from Hope Scott Garage. I rang at 6pm about an Audi A3 convertible I'd seen advertised in Autotrader and spoke to Mark, who said he or his brother would contact me at 9.30 the following morning with all the details. Simon gave me all the details, answered all of my questions, came up with an agreed trade in price for my Audi. They confirmed that they would deliver the vehicle from Edinburgh to Gatwick in Sussex free of charge, a 14 hours round trip!. I gave them a deposit and they did all the footwork to transfer my private plate to the new vehicle, arranging tax and V5 documents and gave it an MOT. The whole experience was professional and without stress, and today my beautiful new car arrived on the back of a transporter recovery truck following their long 7 hour through the night journey. They put my Audi on the truck and off they went back up north.

Thank you so much Simon and Mark, it was a pleasure doing business with you. I will be recommending you in future and will be contacting you when my Audi needs changing again.

I received fantastic service from start to finish at Hope Scott Garage. Mark was helpful, professional and all-round brilliant, he answered all of my questions quickly and thoroughly. Additionally, he organised my finance and even a trade in price for my old vehicle, all well in advance of my appointment to view and test drive the car. Upon arrival at the garage I met Simon, who showed me the car and advised me of the service history, he further advised me on extending the warranty. Whilst filing out the paperwork for my finance Simon made genuine conversation with me, I felt like a customer and not just a sales number, which made the whole process much more comfortable for me. At no point was I made to feel uncomfortable or silly for asking pretty basic questions. Finally, due to the car still requiring a service Mark offered to have the car delivered to my house free of charge, a 3 hour round trip for Lewis, who was also brilliant when it came to the hand over.
Furthermore, all of the aforementioned was completed in a fully Covid-19 safe environment, I felt very safe throughout the whole process. I will be recommending Hope Scott Garage in future to my friends and family members and hope I have the opportunity to deal with them when it comes to upgrading my Audi.

I happened to come across this garage when I was looking for an MX-5. I found the customer service from when I first enquired about the car, to when I took delivery of it today, to be excellent. None of the hard sell or pushy salesmen. Professional people who did what they said they would - simple and no fuss! In fact, I have asked them to try to find another car for me (something a little more practical than the gorgeous, mint condition little sports car I have just bought).

I enquired about a car at 8pm on a Thursday. By 8.30 Simon had called to talk about it. The car was everything I wanted ( and a lot I wasn't bothered about ). It looked good on the photo's and Simon did a video for me.I got a train from Warrington on Saturday and drove it home.For those of you wondering whether you can trust travelling a large distance to purchase a car, don't fret.This family run business is friendly and helpful. No heavy selling. I had a look at some of the other cars there, and they were all in good condition, tidy, presentable. Don't hesitate. I highly recommend.

Been looking for a car for a while couldn't find one locally when i did its well over my budget, so I went to search nationwide, saw a car I liked and it was within my budget with all the spec I was looking for. i was a little bit nervous as I haven't bought a car without seeing or test driving it before, I sent an Enquiry form about the vehicle within an hour I got a reply from Simon and this was on the 2nd of Jan, I've ask all sort of question and explained to him that I've never bought a car before without seeing it or test driving he was very understand he re-assured me that the car is in very good condition. And on the 3rd i phoned their office/garage to pay for the car i asked for simon he wasnt in the office they askes who was calling told them my name they knew straight away what i was calling about, (great communication) paid for the car. it was a pleasure to do business with you yesterday. Simon listened to all of our questions when he safely supervised our road test of the Yeti. He was extremely helpful in achieving our aim of arriving in one car and leaving in a different one. We were not pressured into any decisions and he didn't try to sell us finance.



You have a lovely garage and efficient staff, much more useful to us than acres of glass, magazines and machine coffee (Simon's was much better), a family run garage rather than some massive main dealership.



We are delighted with our new car and look forward to many miles in it. We do not change our cars every six months like some folks (our last Polo fifteen years and the MX-5 seven years and we get our money's worth out of them.

I am totally impressed the way Hope Scott Garage is run, really friendly Staff who are willing to help and give advice. I saw a car I liked and decided to visit them, I was introduced to Mark ( Sales ) who checked my car over and gave me the price I wanted for it, my wife and I went up two days later met Mark again who was more than willing to help, he took us both out in the car we were after and that made our minds up so we sat down in the office with Mark going through the paperwork in the meantime the car was being serviced and getting an MOT. On the Wednesday we went back just to finalize the deal and that was it, on the Saturday we had a slight problem with the car and one call to Mark sorted it all out. I was impressed by the not pushy attitude that some others have a really friendly atmosphere. To Mark ( A lovely Laddie ) and his wonderful Staff I send my thanks again I will be back for another car at some point and I hope you will still be there. The marks I give this Garage is 100/100. From the initial arrangement to book a test drive, the test drive itself and the trade- in of our car to the purchase of the new car, Mark made the whole process a pleasant painless experience. When I collected the car, Mark not only took time to give a detailed explanation of how every dial, knob and button worked but also arranged for the previous owners 5 year service plan from Honda to be transferred to our name.
Having experienced the so called VIP "offers" and hard sales selling from main dealerships I would urge potential car buyers to bypass these dealers and head to this family owned trade dealership at Hope Scott in Currie for a great deal in nearly new and used cars. I live in Somerset and searched nationally for a petrol focus estate. 'Hope Scott Garage' had just the vehicle.
I was a bit nervous about travelling so far for a used vehicle but Mark the sales rep had been so honest and sincere with information and the price was competitive so I flew to Edinburgh.
I was met at the airport, taken to the garage where the vehicle was presented immaculately and again Mark was superb in regard to sales service he could not have been more helpful. This is the standard that all garages should achieve.

I have just bought a low mileage three year old Ford C Max Diesel Titanium Automatic from Hope Scott Garage. I traded in and dealt with Mark who is a very personable guy and easy to talk to. The car was pristine except for a minor crack in the front bumper which Mark had repaired for me. I found a purchase from this smaller professional garage, with good quality cars in stock, a far better experience than going to some of the big dealerships. Mark tells me he can source particular models if what you are looking for is not in stock. I would recommend Hope Scott Garage to friends and family.
